All-On-4 Teeth In A Day

The Perfect Solution for Patients That Want to Maximize the Use of Available Bone

What is All-on-4®?

The All-on-4® treatment concept is a minimally invasive, time-saving solution for replacing the upper and/or lower arch of teeth. The All-on-4® prosthesis is fixed (non-removable) and designed for immediate load (ready for immediate use by the patient). The success of the concept lies in the strategic surgical positioning of the dental implants used to support the prosthesis. The two implants placed towards the back of the mouth are longer and angled to gain the greatest contact with bone tissue, thus eliminating the need for bone augmentation procedures, in most cases. Placed towards the front of the mouth, the remaining two implants provide additional support and stability for the permanent prosthesis.

The All-on-4® treatment concept boasts a success rate of up to 100 percent at the four-year follow-up and up to 98 percent at the 10-year follow-up. First used in 1998, the secure, long-term solution offers the freedom edentulous patients (or those soon-to-be) desire for permanent tooth replacement. The All-on-4® technique delivers a beautiful, natural looking smile of which patients can be proud.

The All-on-4® Implant Procedure

Before the procedure begins, the patient will be comfortably numbed so that they will feel no pain or discomfort throughout the visit. Four dental implants are then placed to make best use of the bone volume within the arch. Once the implants have been placed, a new or existing prosthesis is used as the framework for a temporary set of teeth that will be attached that day, ready for immediate function.

After the bone has fully integrated with the implants (a process that typically requires three to six months), the temporary teeth are removed and a new, final prosthetic appliance is created and anchored into place permanently.
